It’s no secret that I’m passionate about play and creativity in children. I created Imagination Sessions because I believe that we should nurture a child’s natural inclination to play and be curious. I also believe that the natural sense of wonder and imagination that children have should be documented in photographs.

Photographs that truly capture the spark in your children serve as identity markers for them to see who they really are and not to forget this as they grow up. They also remind us of the spark in ourselves and the connection that we all have to childhood.

This winter I’ll be doing some Imagination Sessions in people’s homes when it’s too cold to play outside. These sessions all focus on imagination, play, and creativity but with different materials and a different premise for each.
I’m especially excited about a session I call “The Visionary”. The focus is on play through sound and vision and movement. I transform a space in your home for shadow play and light play and to explore rhythm and movement through music and dancing. Kids explore their gross motor skills by moving their bodies and seeing how their bodies make different shapes in light and shadow.

A YEAR OF IMAGINATION!
Like my Year in the Life Package, the Year of Imagination Package offers four photo sessions over the course of a year, but instead of Storytelling Sessions, they are Imagination Sessions. Each session will have a different play focus.

- A gorgeous 80-page album, containing your favourite images from the year.

The album will be a beautiful document of your children’s imagination as they have grown one year older, a reminder of the connection you have as a family and of their innate capacity for joy and wonder and imagination.
