PRESENCE PORTRAITS
luminous, connected, expressed.
Presence Portraits are transformative portrait sessions that focus on how you FEEL.
Through heart centred, prompts, movement, and guided meditation I’ll invite you to connect to the subtle motion of your spirit, your heartbeat, your breath. You’ll tune into YOU and embody your presence effortlessly. You’ll probably even forget that you’re having your photos taken.
What I loved most about working with you is that you focused on the light being within. Through the process of meditation and moving together with you through suggested words, images and feelings, I was able to access a place of vulnerability not easily seen and captured on film. Rather than adjusting myself into an outward appearance or pose, the gestures began from my heart center and this connection with my true self allowed the expressions of emotion, movement and gratitude to flow with an ease I have not experienced in a photo shoot before. It was a beautiful and sacred experience.”

To feel the depths of any truth can be a scary and enlightening experience. It takes an honest moment of surrender to allow that kind of ocean to flow as freely and as wildly as possible.
Connecting with Melanie was an opportunity to not only allow myself this gift, but also to share and acknowledge it with a kindred spirit in a way that only she could capture it. To find oneself in a genuine place so that others may find you there also…a blessing.

“As a woman in a photograph you’re always conscious about what you look like and what you’re projecting and this was the first time I’ve been able to stand in front of a lens and not feel the need to do that.
The act of being able to be yourself and be accepted for yourself is the greatest gift you can give anyone, and the photography session literally gave me that gift. I wasn’t worried about the lines or wrinkles or any of the imperfections because I knew that through your lens I would be beautiful no matter what happened.”
