“Making a Maker” is an autobiographical conceptual and documentary photography project about navigating what is gained and lost by becoming a mother while also facing the threat of my own disappearance after being diagnosed with breast cancer. As part of my healing process I began an inquiry into the nature of time, the fragility of life and making a life that matters. I’m interested in exploring the importance of creativity and fertility while searching for and discovering the magic of childhood with my daughter.
